As with many REALTORS®, real estate isn’t my first career. I spent 33 years in the soft-drinks industry before retiring as president of a multimillion-dollar company. On the surface, soft drinks and real estate don’t have much in common, but my business background helps me support my clients through what may be their biggest investment.
As an executive I’ve managed sales, arranged financing, overseen operations, enhanced efficiencies and negotiated contracts—all necessary skills for a REALTOR®. After earning my real estate sales license, in 2012, I signed on with Long Realty and put those skills to work for my clients. In my first year I was named Rising Star for my branch, recognizing outstanding sales performance by a new associate.
And that was only the beginning. Since then I’ve won consecutive annual seats at Long Realty’s Director’s Circle, an honor reserved for very high producers. But my proudest moment as a REALTOR® was seeing the smile on my client’s face at my first closing. Unforgettable!
